EClinicMD and Dr. Barton Butterbaugh SUCK
Do you suffer from chronic pain due to fibromyalgia, arthritis, CFS, other myalgias, and/or injury? Does it greatly impact your life, your emotions, your well-being and your ability to function around others?
I do. I've been to so many doctors, and none of them want anything to do with me. I'm a problem case and they don't want to get their hands dirty. Chances are, you're just like me, and you're at the end of your rope.
So I turned to the internet. I thought surely I could find some sort of system or network out there that could truly help me manage my pain and be able to live my life.
That's when I found EClinicMD. For $165/month (and NO, they don't take ANY insurance), they promise thorough telephone consults with pain experts who empathize and have your best interests in mind. They promise monthly prescriptions to medicines that will actually reduce your pain significantly. They promise to connect you to a doctor in your area, and they promise to take care of you, filling your prescriptions each month, provided you pay them the $165 each time.
Well, all EClinicMD REALLY is is a bunch of empty promises and lies. Their doctors demand that you NEVER call their office. You don't even get to consult with a real doctor during your quite expensive monthly phone consult (that lasts all of 2 minutes max)--it's always some random assistant. And if you try to call the # back, it blocks all incoming calls. Your doctor's office refuses to answer their phone and never returns your calls.
And finally, EClinicMD treats YOU, the patient in chronic pain, the real life person struggling to get through each day, like a useless, faceless, nameless number. They accuse you of faking your pain, of lying to your doctor and their shady assistants. They refuse to consult with any of your other doctors to verify that you're being honest about your pain and the emotional havoc it wreaks on your daily life. And here's the big one: They'll take your $165, promise in writing to fill your prescriptions, then turn around and tell you they will never again fill your prescriptions and tell you it's all YOUR fault and you'll never see even a partial refund of your monthly payment.

Pain Patients in Arizona and Washington BEWARE
Do you live in either Arizona or Washington? If so, EClincMD will connect you with Dr. Barton Butterbaugh. When you first meet him, he seems wonderful and attentive--so he can sell you completely on the EClinicMD SCAM and so he can make monthly profits off of you without doing a lick of work. He never calls you, he never returns your calls, and if your pharmacy is somehow lucky to get him on the phone, he argues with them. He and his assistants that perform HIS phone consults DO NOT keep accurate records of your conversations. They do not note major pain events in your life, like say, a massive car accident, extreme panic attacks, severe falls, seizures, hospital stays, or visits to specialists. So when they report your monthly info to EClinicMD to get their paycheck, they report NOTHING. They don't listen to you and they certainly don't care that you're falling apart and unable to function without the pain relief that you thought you could rely on Dr. Butterbaugh to provide for you.
I have created this site as a warning to all of my fellow chronic pain brothers and sisters. I KNOW how you feel. I FEEL how you feel. And I know that EClinicMD sounds like a perfectly wonderful idea, a fantastic option that will finally provide the relief you deserve. But unfortunately, it's NOT. It's a shady medical scam based in Tampa, FL, and they simply use you for your money and your dependency.
Trust me my friends--you do not want to go down this road. It will cause you headaches, frustration, anxiety, anger, insomnia, and it will drain your bank account quickly. EClinicMD is NOT the easy way to pain relief. It's the easy way to be conned out of your money and treated like lying scum. Do yourself a great service and seek out a doctor separate from EClinicMD--a doctor that cares about you and actually paid attention in medical school. A doctor who isn't in the medical field just for the money. EClinicMD is a BAD IDEA. You have been warned. I hope you heed my warning so that you don't have to suffer at their hands as I have.
